Is there a simple, inexpensive, and legal way or tool to download YouTube videos to a laptop to play when internet access is not available?

When you find it, can you share? I would love to do something like this for my Sunday School Class.

The only 'legal' way is to subscribe to Youtube Red. It also eliminates all commercials and gives you access to some original content. A better deal is to sign up for Google Play Music. This is a subscription music service that gives you access to almost all music, on demand on the web or via an App. When you do this they throw in YouTube Red for free. The kicker is the price for Google Play Music is the same as YouTube Red, so the music is 'free'. In addition, I believe they are still running a 4 month free trial period for this. Try the link on this page. https://www.dealnews.com/Google-Play-Music-Unlimited-4-Month-Trial-free-for-new-customers/2099263.html

It's definitely against their 'terms and conditions', and depending on day of the week, probably illegal. Don't get me wrong, @WayneSchulz knows me and knows I never let copyright law get in the way of a good time. Just want to be up front on the facts. https://p2lawyers.com/blog/2017/8/10/is-it-legal-to-download-youtube-videos

I've found just outright buying or renting is the simplest way to get movies that are available in the Google or iTunes store. I think Netflix now allows some of their movies to be downloaded for offline viewing as well.
