Is there a reason that I can't setup the repository for Sage Intelligence on a specific workstation? I am trying to log in for the first time. I have the UNC for the repository. Yet when I copy/paste and save into the Network Repository Path it just blanks out. I open Windows Explorer and appear to have valid user rights to the folder There doesn't seem to be much in the Sage KB on this so it must be something blatantly obvious and dumb on my part.

Try running the Sage program as an Admin?

Should work. Has to be a UNC path though. \\localmachine\shared drive\si Need to make sure you share the drive on the local machine

Unable to save repository path Products Sage 100 Sage Intelligence Description Unable to save repository path Repository path blanks out after selecting directory Resolution Verify you are browsing or entering a UNC path (i.e. \\<Server Name>\) Verify user has full control permissions to the repository folder 1.Right click on the applicable Sage 100 ERP icon and select Run as Administrator

I tried the right click run as administrator and that didn't work. The repository is inside a Sage folder that I'm already sharing for Sage 100. It's quite possibly rights related. It just blanks out the UNC path and sits there.

Can you Run SI outside of Sage? Maybe check the regedit permissions?

I have found the user needs to be a local admin on the workstation when I run into this issue.

Sage seems clueless - they pointed me toward an environmental checklist - https://support.na.sage.com/selfservice/viewdocument.do?noCount=true&externalId=61593&sliceId=1&isLoadPublishedVer=&docType=kc&docTypeID=DT_Article&stateId=24354&cmd=displayKC&dialogID=1053431&ViewedDocsListHelper=com.kanisa.apps.common.BaseViewedDocsListHelperImpl&openedFromSearchResults=true

You may want to be sure permissions on the Repository are inherited from the Sage folder, sometimes IT sets them goofy and you have to manually fix the permissions on the folder.

IF you don't share the local drive, SI won't see it. Happened to me a few years back.

IT tells me user is a local administrator. Still rejecting the UNC path. Sage first level support suggested that I look to be sure the cable is plugged into the computer (or something similarly basic)...

I found KB 63030. Can you access that file and just manually type in the path? Or maybe copy it from another workstation? Open windows explorer and go to C:\ProgramData\Sage Software\SageMASIntelligenceXX folder (XX=version number (i.e. 51=2014, 52=2015) Open config.ini file in Notepad Verify the path of the repository folder is correct. If it is not correct, paste the correct path (Reminder, the path must a UNC path) Example: [Repository] Path=\\<server name>\SI510 Click File, Save https://support.na.sage.com/selfservice/viewdocument.do?noCount=true&externalId=63030&sliceId=1&docLink=true&languageId=&isDocLink=true¤tmsID=MS_Customer&cmd=&openedFromDocument=true&ViewedDocsListHelper=com.kanisa.apps.common.BaseViewedDocsListHelperImpl

They are access their desktop via terminal services - not sure if that makes any difference. I'll see if the config.ini suggestion helps. Also, is there a separate support phone for Sage Intelligence - and if so, can you share that number? The call to the general Sage 800-854-3415 was more of a ""is your computer on and plugged in"" level tech. Not helpful at all but very friendly.

email Alec. He knows all. Just put his name in the subject line and email financials.na@sage.com. If you already have a case number reference it in the body of the email, not the subject

Doublecheck the Share permissions as well. I have seen where the user has permissions to the folder, but the share itself does not.

C:\ProgramData\ is a hidden folder with permissions that don't seem to allow Terminal Server users to access. This may be the core issue as well as my needing to research how to setup Sage Intelligence under a remote desktop environment

I have several SI clients running hosted TS, so it can be done, likely just something in GP or the share. here is the Citrix installation guide - which is what they reference for TS as well.

Thanks! I will update as soon as I found out what the cause was. I think it is the c:\programdata not being open to most users (security)

Update 10-5-2018: Make sure the user has full rights to their local: c:\ProgramData\Sage Software\SageMASIntelligence52\ The config.ini in this folder maintains the licensing for the workstation If you are on a Terminal Server then you'll need to ensure everyone has access to this folder or you may see a prompt to enter the repository which will never save and keeps prompting.
