  • 1.  Is Payroll 2.23.0 a requirement for people to load before W2 time FY2022?

    I have a customer on 2022.1 with a bunch of separate companies that use Payroll. If they can escape installing a payroll update this close to W2 time, they'd like to do so.

    They have installed the IRD for 2022

    Do you know if payroll 2.23.0 is required to close payroll year 2022 and print/file W2 forms ( including eFiling)?

    it is my understanding that the 2.23.0 release WAS the IRD release and it was required for w-2 printing.  So I am telling people to do it.  IMHO, the installation is "somewhat" painless, as is the conversion.  Just remember that your Crystal forms need to be updated via the mascrcw.exe utility or converted during the data conversion.

    I guess I will find out, as I have two customers who have completed payroll for 2022 - including W2 forms. There does appear to be an Aatrix download they need. One of the customers called because they received an "auditfile" message resolved with an Aatrix update.
