Is it possible to default the file location path for the Memo code attachments? Has anyone been able to override the windows explorer default location path. I had a system admin ask me if they can set or edit the registry so when a user opens the memo code attachment file location, it opens to a specific folder location. Thanks!

I looked into this for you. The program, ../SY/SY_MEMOHANDLER_UI.PVC is the one that sets that path. Unfortunately, it's within this program that defaults it to the /MAS90 folder. It's not a parameter setting. Sorry.

You are welcome. My pleasure. I would suggest a Custom Office new browse button, but that screen is not available. It would have to be a MD mod to ""parameterize"" to path either globally, by module, or by the different maintenance screens that have it. Perhaps by company code as well. If you want me to research this and provide a quote, let me know. It's possible.

Kim - I had this request several years ago. I wrote a mod where not only you choose an alternate location for Memo Code attachments, but the users were then restricted from browsing outside that path. E.g. if Attachments Path = _\\MyServer\MyShare\Attachments_ when clicking Attachments button it would default to the path and you could select a subfolder but not select a ""parent"" folder or go anywhere outside that path. Also you couldn't rename or delete a file from the browse window. The owner wanted all those restrictions in place. Wrote it for 4.30 but they still use it today on 2013. Later, I sold source code to ISM. The mod is sold through them now in case you're interested and here's the doc.
