Is it possible to automate importing in AP invoice entry batches like you can manually? Customer is using an invoice approval program that outputs a spreadsheet and they want to skip the person taking the spreadsheet and manually importing.

Can macros be called from an external program? My idea is to have a program monitor a folder for new files and the call the macro to import the file and log any errors.

Yes a macro can be called from an external app, but the app would need to be logged into Sage in order to run the macro. If you were to go that far, then you should just have the app also import the transactions into AP.
