Is it just me or is this another 11th hour invitation to a Sage webcast? I haven't noticed any mention of this before.

@ThereseLogeais I registered immediately, rescheduled the existing (now conflicting appointment), but have not done the associated homework.

I don't see anything on this PDF that strikes me as overly new. I assume this is just a reassurance on technology and update on their direction. It does seem a little last minute.

It's pretty clear that all roads lead to ERP X3 -- the development map is the longest and I would not be completely surprised if the ultimate goal is tread water on other product lines until ERP X3 matures as an upgrade candidate. I think this strategy has been tried with MAS 90 --> MAS500 and found that the issue was when the features were missing in the ""upgrade"" people did not switch...

If anyone gets into the question queue -- I think it would be good to ask about the status of credit card payments in v5.0 of Sage 100 ERP. Sage have been dodgy on that question and not all customers (and perhaps consultants) know whether PC Charge goes away in v5.0 (as had been previously announced/hinted).

Last minute indeed. The inmates are running the asylum over there. If all roads do point to X3, it seems that they better improve it pretty damn fast or they will lose 90% of the customer base in any transition. It seems rather ... light ... in a lot of critical areas.

It is interesting that X3's roadmap goes through 2016 and the rest only through 2013. Can't wait to hear all the latest....

Lock In. Many (most) customers aren't going anywhere. Sage knows this.

Now I got another notice from Connie Zervakos - wait til the last minute but stress the importance by repeating it mulitple times.

Go check out the roadmap document (save yourself the webinar time), it's pretty clear X3 is where 90% of the R&D is going. ERP 100 is a dead end.

Yeah...I thought, crap...last minute...and I can't reschedule my client appointment. My co-worker will have to fill me in. The Sage ERP 100 looks rather light..hard to sell customers on upgrading when there is not much new stuff...lots of pretty pictures though.
