  • 1.  Inventory Masterfile data dump - v4.5, Crystal XI

    Client is requesting a Crystal Report that is basically a data dump of their Inventory Masterfile.  It will be installed onto the Inventory Custom Reports menu.  They would like a parameter to select items or a range of items.  I thought to do this with a dynamic parameter, but they have more than 1,000 records in CI_Item.

    Since I haven't seen any responses to this post indicating that more than 1,000 records can be displayed, how would you create the parameter?

    No.  Is it good on Crystal XI R2?  Not listed on the DB article, but thanks for posting the link.  I was wondering about how to find that reference.

    Crystal is not the best tool for data dumps. You could give them an Excel workbook with a query on CI_Item and use filtering to give you up to 10,000 dynamic selections plus text filters. They will find this much more usable and quick.
