I have a customer who wants the four Categories fields within Inventory Maintenance to accept and hold mixed-case data.
They are on Sage 100 2017 Premium PU 1
I can modify the panel and get to the four categories fields on the additional tab.
I can change each field by removing the UPPER CASE
I can save the panel
When I go back into Item Maintenance to test I can enter in mixed case content but as soon as I move from the field it goes to upper case.
Then, I go to UDF maintenance and Advanced Field Settings
I can see that the Category fields have "UPPERCASE" as a value which cannot be changed
a. Why does everything in this field have to be uppercase?
b. Is there any way to modify this so that the field accepts mixed case
c. If I can make this change behind the scenes are there any potential downsides?
