Are there any cons or great advantages to changing IM Options to base inventory periods on Calendar Months, when your GL is structured on Fiscal Periods? I've changed to Calendar Months in a test company and after saving the options it automatically goes into recalculate item period history - which I understand and that's OK.
I'm just trying to understand where this change is beneficial instead of being on Fiscal periods. For me personally I don't like fiscal periods just because it is easier for me to instantly know that period 11 is November ... instead of April, or whatever period 11 is in their fiscal calendar. Is changing to Calendar Months only going to affect the way report selections are presented and in inquiries?
