Interesting take on the new Atlas system. I spoke

Interesting take on the new Atlas system. I spoke with our CAM about a quote for an additional user. He asked for the customer's account number. I said, ""Do you want the new one or the old one?"" Which do you think he preferred? If you said old, congratulations! He seemed embarassed about it but he actually said, ""Well the old one would be better."" I then asked him about another quote we had requested and he said he had replied to the request. When I said the person who requested it was out of the office and could he forward the email to me, he said, ""I can give it to you in nutshell. It's in process."" He then said they are all busy with month end so it may be a while. Yes, life is interesting these days.

I know I should just let it go but it's really despicable.

Getting close to the end of the quarter. Any body still waiting to place an order before the end of day?

I was told next quarter we will need to fill out a form, include a check and mail in via USPO three weeks before quarter end to ensure it gets in and processed on time. It will be handled by Ticketmaster going forward so except handling charges, venue charges, line item charges, etc.

I wonder how Greg Kyte do last night? I think there is a lot of useful material here for him...

I was told orders had to be in by noon PST today in order to be processed this quarter. Here's another interesting thing about the order that was ""in process"" yesterday - this was for an additional user and the original quote from Sage said the customer was on the 90 cusp of the maintenance renewal and the order had to be submitted by 3/29 for the customer to avoid paying one year forward in addition to the pro-rated maintenance. (Wow, that was a long sentence.!) The order was submitted 3/28 BUT it didn't get processed by Sage until today so the order confirmation now shows the one year forward maintenance as well. Sage said there is nothing they can do to change it - once it's in Atlas, there's nothing they can do....

Jeff, Greg didn't make the official cut last night but he's doing 2 shows tonight, a Nickelodeon show tomorrow and a chance for a wild card ticket to the semi's. Hanging out with a bunch of comics for a festival is pretty cool.

I thought I had one more order - winback discount, additional modules and approved Easy Pay. Unfortunately it was a non-profit and they told me they can't work this way with time deadlines. They gave up a great deal, which would not have been passed up if they were running it like a real business. When I told my advocate that they need more time, all I got was silence, because we both know these promos are gone. I told him I would work with the client and when they are ready I'll see what Sage can do. I already know the answer will be nothing, because we didn't get the order for them to make their numbers today. The answer from this non-profit will be ""No"" if they don't get a similar deal, so we and Sage get a big zero out of this.

I dunno. Time wounds all heals! Tell them to hold another five and half months and the Monty Hall of Sage will be ready to play ""Let's make a deal"" but be wary of the ""Zonks"". Although admittedly, March is the time for the best deals.

@ThereseLogeais - Whenever you submit to Sage always advise them of the exact amounts: a. Description of what's being ordered b. Product & Maintenance Cost c. Sales Tax Cost (this should be zero usually but Sage is having issues so verify) d. Shipping & Handling And then tack on that you do not want the order processed unless the amounts agree. It's also not true that they cannot reverse an order out of Atlas. We've had Sage delay processing renewals in Atlas due to their own inability to provide correct pricing and the orders went through (and were reversed) and went through. The worst thing is to place an order and not have the costs match -- and the customer then refuses to pay the penalty. Guess who potentially is stuck..
