Interesting post about Sage Advisor. This is the ""auto update"" feature that Sage have talked about including in Sage products.
From what I recall (and this post explains) Sage Advisor will allow users to automatically
1. Download updates, hot fixes, upgrades (phase 1)
2. Apply updates, hot fixes, upgrades automatically (timeline TBD)
From what I can tell looking at the screen shot - it seems likely that Sage will use Advisor to notify customers that their maintenance is / will expire.
Sage would be foolish if they did not also allow customers to renew this online directly. My bet is there will be a pop up that accepts credit card payment.
Sage Advisor could also be a tool Sage uses to control use of the product if the maintenance expires without the customer renewing.
