Interesting issue I've not seen....users RDP into a terminal server to access Sage 100 v2016 PU2. When previewing AP Checks from TS, MICR font looks great, but when printed to her local printer, they're all gibberish. Installed Sage 100 locally & everything prints & previews fine to the same printer. Go back to terminal server, still same crazy MICR fonts. Thoughts? Suggestions? Pretty please? :)

Terminal servers frequently use a technique called ""EasyPrint"" where the terminal server uses a generic driver or makes a best guess as to what driver should be used. I would ask the IT group to install the printer-specific driver on the terminal server and see how that affects things. With a printer-specific driver, the terminal server won't use the generic driver or guess.

Have you loaded the same MICR font on the terminal server?

To add to Christopher's comment. There needs to be a GPO changed on the TS policies to allow the use of those drivers over the EasyPrint Drivers. https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff519193(v=ws.10).aspx

Thanks for bringing that up, George. Depending on the vendor and driver, sometimes you can get away without the GPO.
