Interesting, Guessing the phone is $600 or so, but $30 month gets you 300 minutes, and unlimited Data and Text. Big difference from Verizon. This is essentially a rebranded sprint (with sucky customer service department)

This is actually a great deal. I text lots more than I talk, I rarely go over 200 minutes talking but text up a storm. This is probably true of most people so in a lot of ways it the best for most people.

I've got my son on this plan, with a reasonably good mid-line LG android phone (was $200) that was only $25. They raised the price but he's been grandfathered. (After 4 months of them double billing us and fighting with India to clean it up). Overall, its exactly the same experience, good or bad, you would get with sprint. For some odd reason, all those big Cell phone taxes don't apply to prepaid. Just ordinary sales tax.

My son is on a plan here as well. I will probably spring for an iPhone.

Just make sure he puts an Otterbox on it. I see cracked iphone screens constantly.
