Discussion: Best New Features of MAS 90 Version 4.5
Arne - In speaking with the Extended Solutions developer and the development team that worked on 4.50, many issues have now been corrected along with several improvements. The basic concept of establishing how price levels are used in Sales Order remains the same. There is a new maintenance program along with a more flexible copy feature. When creating a Sales Order, a new Price Level Inquiry on the Lines panel will show which rule entered in Price Level by Customer Maintenance was applied for the line. Enhancements include a new Customer Pricing Report which will print all pricing information by Customer, Product Line, and Item.
Dan We were unable to expand the price level field in this release so it does remain at one character. In establishing the rules in Price Level by Customer Maintenance, they are still based on Product Line, Price Code or Ship-To Code, and an optional Effective/End Date. Hope that helps.
One more note Price Hierarchy is not really impacted by the addition of this logic. Price Level by Customer Maintenance allows you to setup ""rules"" that will be applied to the customer's price level. In the pricing hierarchy, if the customer's price level is going to be used the logic will further check to see if any ""rules"" were setup and apply them accordingly.
