Interesting article about VMWARE cutting some products. They own Socialcast.

We are attending the VMWare annual conference in Vegas next week. This company is very dynamic. I am excited to learn with their strategy is over the next couple of years. We are making a significant investment with their technologies.

Don't get me wrong: I too think VMWare has a lot of potential. I just don't understand how Socialcast fits in its product strategy

If VMWARE cannot figure out how to integrate Socialcast I am fairly certain they'll sell it quickly.

uh oh, I just built some cool presentations with Sliderocket. Does sidelined mean sold or killed? I'm getting friggen tired of these wonderful 'cloud'/saas vendors going belly up after I make big time & money investments. Sort of stinks up the room for saas if you ask me. http://portal.sliderocket.com/DCBNG/Self-Running-Datto-short http://portal.sliderocket.com/DCBNG/bdr_loop

100% agree @MarkChinsky - it's a serious risk. Or even if they get bought out it could spell problems.
