  • 1.  Integrated POS options (RDC, chip & pin...)?

    If anyone knows about an integrated POS solution which works over a terminal server connection (stores are remote), including chip and pin credit card processing (credit / debit devices in stores), we have a customer who has been eagerly looking to update some less than ideal processes. 
    • It must be integrated with Sage 100 because their pricing logic is too complex to reproduce.  (A lot of it is custom scripted).
    • Canadian... and we've been using chip/pin here for about a decade, both debit and credit.  (Any retailer without tap-to-pay gets funny looks).
    • Sometimes CC transactions are done from the head office (vault stored card data), so a purely POS credit card solution would be harder to sell vs Paya / APS...
    We previously tried dealing with SPS to get a device to work over a terminal connection and were given the run-around (different stakeholders kept passing the buck).  With chip & pin now becoming more common in the US, perhaps more options are available?

    Accupos is being used by one of my customers. I don’t know the level of integration with Sage though their website seems to indicate there is integration.

    I have been looking for this for several years now. I've concluded that cc integration via RDP is not really possible?

    Fusion is quite good, but I don't think that they can handle RDP without a local server at each location. That might be the price of doing this with Sage 100.

    I understand that Fusion has successful POS integration with Acumatica, which is telling ...

    Hey @Kevin Moyes,
    Are you looking for a full-blown point-of-sale system, or just the ability to use an EMV device in sales order entry and invoicing?  If it's the latter, then APS Payments may be able to help.  Connecting an EMV device reliably across a remote desktop connection is a challenge, but we do have ways to do it, if we can configure the connection properly.   I have been playing with it and feel sure we can make it work, but it has not been high priority for us.  If it's high priority for you, then let @Patty Benitez know and she can pull the strings necessary to bring the resources to bear.
