Installing Sage 2016.1 on XP Computers Regardless if supported or not, my customer has four XP computers out of his 14 computers that he uses for Inventory Lookup viewing and was determined not to go to the expense of upgrading them. So what we did is take Jeff's suggestion and renamed the 2016 wksetup folder and copied in the wksetup folder from a 2015 install. Sage 2016.1 installed without errors on all the XP computers. Hope this helps someone.

That is fabulous. Wish I had this in my tool bag a couple of weeks ago when I did an upgrade.

Is there a message ""can't install on XP"" that comes up otherwise?

Yes, there is a message. Dont remember exactly what it says but something to the effect that the operating system is not supported and the installer is terminating.

What happens is the wksetup autorun.exe forces prerequisite programs to be installed. One of them is .NET 4.5.2, I believe. This .NET version will not install on XP. Sage 100 2015 apparently does not have this requirement. So far, no data corruption, no errors, working just fine and most importantly, the customer is happy. Thanks Jeff.

Any chance you could zip up the 2015 \MAS90\WKSETUP folder (only need WKSETUP) ? I'd like to throw it in Dropbox because I can see this coming up again.
