Sage 100

Installing Sage 100 Advanced 2015 SU 2 Workstation client on Windows 7 Pro computer. Workstation setup hangs near the end. Have turned of UAC, anti-virus, have tried administrator account and local user with administrative user rights. Hangs and won't finish. TIA

I've seen this on every upgrade we have done. Are you using setup.exe? Uninstall the client and use autorun. if not successful, uninstall again and use the msi install. No logic on what order.

Started with autorun, then tried msi and neither will run through. Also, it hangs during the uninstall

Try stopping the print spool service and then installing. I had two last week where that fixed it.

One last suggestion, right click autorun and choose run as administrator. I do this even though I'm signed on as administrator. I don't know if this does anything extra than just being signed on as administrator, though Basically, if I'm installing nearly anything for Sage (except wkstation for TS), I do it this way and I don't have too many issues. If you uninstall anything, be sure that the folders get removed, too. You might need to do that manually.

Thanks Roberta. Yes, we do that also as a regular procedure. Tried with print spool service stopped and it went through to finish but seems like it didn't write to the registry.

OK, it's working. @BernieLehman you were right about stopping the print spool service. We reinstalled so many times in so many different configurations not sure what else it took. Had to manually install the PDF converter to finish the install. It would not do a msi reinstall or repair. thanks all, you're the best!

I think it's safe to say Sage has an issue with the install!!!
