Sage 100

Installing Sage 100 2016 program (on the server) and getting the below error once I click autorun.exe file. If I click through this error it allows me to enter product keys and proceeds with the install. Appears to install programs and at the very end this error appears again. It only installs the wksetup\Prerequisites folder and nothing else. We have more than enough room on the hard drive (about 400GB) and have checked the permissions on the Sage folders containing the install and where install is going. Any help is appreciated!

What is the operating system on the server?

check the windows event viewer for errors - it's probably a failing pre-req program. You can try to install the pre-req by itself.

Right click the Autorun.exe file and ""Run as Administrator"" see if that makes a difference.

Can you try installing by right clicking the setup.exe and ""run as administrator"" ?? rather than the autorun ?

I just had a similar error re-installing Version 2016 PU 2, not all the modules appeared on the menu, went to reinstall and received a Prepare failed with the following error: No error message was given. Article on Knowledge Base 106236 had a fix, I had to remove keys related to the payroll Module in the Sy_ConversionDriver.m4t file. May not be the same issue though the article might be worth the read.

You may need to try running the .msi instead of the .exe.

- The C:\ drive does not have sufficient disk space - Verify the SYSTEM account has FULL access under the Installation CD Image folder (i.e. .../Sage 100 ERP YYYY/, where YYYY is the four digit year)

Try and installing the .net pre-requisites first.

I have had problems with Premium and it was the payroll metering files that had to be modified. KB 106236 solved the problem for me.

Some instances where I have downloaded to my system and copied to theirs I have had install problems. I would have to download directly from the portal or even use the Sage Advisor Update.

Had a similar issue last week. After several tries I noticed that when I extract the 2016 program files it was listing errors. I downloaded and extracted again and the install went through.
