Installing JobOps R3 and getting an error. I have installed the PU7 and the hotfix after shutting down all services and backup up the files. When I try to install the JobOps R3, I get this error: ""Prepare failed with the following error: Error updating SY_SagePEP: PHYSICAL UPDATE ABORT: SY_SagePEP - D:\Sage\MAS200\MAS90\MAS_SYSTEM\SY_SagePEP.M4T is currently open. Cannot update at this time."" Help!

The install or release notes (don't remeber which) say to make sure you disable PEP before installing R3. I guess this is why. Unfortunately I am not sure what the cure is at this point. I guess see if you can log in as adminstrator and turn it off.

That file is new to PU7 and is always ""in use"" like other MAS system files (e.g. sy_system). 2 things come to mind: 1. Close down MAS 200 App Server (stop service if setup that way) and MAS tasks. Verify no pvxwin32.exe tasks are running in Task Mgr 2. Login to MAS as Administrator - uncheck box to participate in Product Enhancement Program

Deb. You must to turn off the pep when installing JobOps. I believe it is on the administrator menu in mas There are instructions on the r3 nanook installation guide. The Job ops install can't handle the special file from sage .
