Installing 2016 standard onto one workstation (was windows 8 then upgraded to window 10) Installs fine no errors but no icon and not under programs. Any thoughts - anti virus off, UAC off, uninstall / reinstall all does not work. Thoughts? This happened on both windows 8 and 10.

Usually uninstall/reinstall works for me. Did you Autorun.exe via Right click ""run as admin"" for the workstation setup?

I've seen it before. I think we concluded that it was the user didn't have sufficient rights on the PC where it was being installed. When it didn't work, we simply recreated the shortcut manually as the install appeared to finish correctly.

@WayneSchulz Yes did that . @RobertWhite they supposedly all have the same rights and the other workstations worked. I will try and recreate the shortcut. Thanks !

I just had someone trying to re-install and I finally had him rename the SAge folder on Start/Programs and then it added it back to the menu. Would not add the icon under the Sage folder already there.

@BethBowers just rename it the same name?

No, I had him rename it Sage Additional - it had Crystal and Sage Intelligence in it. Then when he did yet one more reinstall, the reinstall created the standard Sage folder and put the workstation in it.

Humm interesting @BethBowers they have a older version of Sage in the sage folder. I have him renaming that to Sage Old and then reinstalling. I will get back if that works. No we can't uninstall the old version - I wanted them to do that but having a issue - don't ask !

@DianeRuth - one of those timing things - wouldn't have remembered it if it hadn't happened about 2 hours before your post!

also watch that the Sage 100 PDF converter is properly created - sometimes this doesn't work at the same time the icon doesn't work.

Just ran into this on a 2016 PU2 workstation install to a Windows 10 workstation. At first, the icon did not come up on the workstation. Found that uninstall through programs and re-run workstation setup worked. Icon then displayed. FYI .

As an aside, with Win10, we always right click on the Sage icon and set it up to run as administrator for the sake of Sage PDF Converter.
