  • 1.  Install Crystal Reports Designer

    I'm trying to install Crystal Reports Designer from Sage 2018 Advanced autorun | Productivity Applications and I get the below.  Anti-Virus and UAC are both turned off.  This is on server 2016 that has recently been put in place.  Sage support cannot help.  Sage 2018 and program updates installed fine.  Other Productivity Applications also installed fine.

    What happens if you install directly from the Crystal 2016 folder (bypassing the autorun program)?

    I get the same error.  I will download the Sage 2018 again, leave it in the downloads folder and try again.

    Does Crystal show as being available to uninstall from Programs in the Control panel? I wonder if it's a symptom of an install that failed midway?

    Yes, I have tried to run as administrator and I tried to install directly from Crystal 2016 install folder.  I have tried to install Crystal 2011 from Version 2016 install files and I get the same error message.  It has to be something with the server environment.  I will call Sage again and their IT company.

    The last I read Crystal 2016 is backwards compatible for forms and reports.  Anyone know anything different?
