Increase size of UDF - a client imports Hi Jump invoices using a VI job. The Hi Jump invoices are longer than 7 characters and get manuipulated into a 7 char invoice; it also gets imported into a UDF that is 8 characters long. We've been asked to increase the size of the field to accept a 10 character invoice. When I increase the size of the UDF(s), will I need to remove it from the panels on which it lives and put it back in? I think Yes. 2nd question: What will I need to do to the VI jobs to get the new field length to be recognized? Any other gotchas I need to think about? TIA!

Panels will be okay. But you will have to remove and re add in the VI job

That would have been a great question for the group last week........ Do these UDF's flow through to AR invoice history??

Yes - it flows to AR History, AR Open, AR_TransactionPaymentHistory. Also, gets imported into Cash Receipts Detail. Prints on Aging, Trial Balance reports, on the grid in Customer maintenance & CR invoice selection panel. If I'd known about this last week, I would have asked about it :-)

We are always the last to know...... Is two more enough or do you go bigger now just in case you have to do it again...
