In VI export there is an option to ""export column names as fist record"". Is there a way to define the column heading? ie instead of the first row of the column being ""itemcode"" they would like it to say ""sku"" for the export.

I did this but not with VI - in my case I used Access. I'm not sure if it's possible using VI so I went the Access route since I was pretty sure that the customer would have other requests (which they did) that would have been difficult to accomplish in VI.

II don't think so as the column headings are taken from the data disctionary.

I have setup queries in Excel where column headings are different. Using Excel of Access you're pulling the information out rather than exporting with VI.
