In version 4.5 is there any lasting ill-effects on Inventory if a customer changes their fiscal periods through GL? I think for a while the GL change was easy but the Inventory History files became inaccurate (because they tracked based on period 1, 2, 3, etc). However with the move to framework I think this is resolved .... right?

Wayne - Not positive on this, but I believe this is still the case.

I think so too since they still have the option to use fiscal or calendar year in IM. Although there is recalc available in the utilities. I have not done it though to see if it does it correctly.

I wonder if you changed th GL to fiscal, then changed the IM options to fiscal, followed by the Recalc Item History if that would take care of it like @ThereseLogeais suggested. Although I wonder what the fiscal period change is and if this will create a partial year in GL.

@WayneSchulz is their IM set to use fiscal or calendar years? If it is calendar, this doesn't matter but if it is fiscal, I would hope the recalc would still work but I would definitely try @MoiraGoggin's method in a test company first.

Thanks - I'm advising them to turn this loose first in a test company. I believe in 4.3 and earlier short years also created crazy partial inventory lookups if you were on fiscal period reporting for IM.
