In Sage's latest channel news (sent yesterday 11/13/14) they have an important note for Sage 100 ERP PAYROLL users: ****** THIS APPARENTLY MUST BE DONE BEFORE THE FIRST PAYROLL OF 2015 ****** Important action needed for 2015 Affordable Care Act For each Sage 100 ERP company, it is important that the ""Retain Perpetual History"" option is activated in order to meet 2015 Affordable Care Act (ACA) reporting requirements. This feature ensures that customers will be collecting the proper data as they process their first payroll in 2015. The Retain Perpetual History option is found in Payroll Setup Options, screen shot below. Additional details will be provided in early December. http://cdn.na.sage.com/sagemail/SageMail/Sage_Channel_News_1114_Product.html

Always amazed at how many clients this is not turned on for. Perpetual history is so useful for so many reporting requirements. On the plus side, this file is not purged of terminated employees at YE as is the employee master. ON the negative, you can reuse the employee number and it will like the former employee's records.
