In paperless office, is it possible to give a user access to see documents that they cannot update? For example, client wants certain users to be able to view AR Sales Journals in paperless office, but nothing else. These users cannot update sales journals. I experimented, but could not find a solution.

There are settings for Paperless in Role Maintenance for allowing to see only their own or others. Guessing you need to let them see Others.

In my testing, ""see others"" means they can see everything. Not want we want - just AR Sales Journals.

Ahhh... I didn't realize they wanted it limited to seeing the AR Sales Journal only. That could be a problem.

Save the PDF's to a different folder and give the designated users access to it via windows explorer???

@Jeff - That is the exact solution I suggested to the client, but they thought there must be a better way. I am feeling that there really isn't. I also thought that users could only see paperless documents that they have rights to in role maintenance. This is not true apparently. Users can either see only the documents that they created themselves, or everything.

In Role Maintenance, Security tab, Paperless Office, uncheck the 5 ""Allow Viewing of xxx for All Users"" options, set up separate folders as @JeffSchwenk suggested and set permissions by user and update the Paperless office paths in PPO Set up to use the separate paths. It should work.
