General Consultant Discussion

In light of the continuing Sage North America changes I think It would be interesting to have a 90 Minds led Q&A with Sage at MOTM vs having them show up and give a 20 PowerPoint salute then run out of Q&A time. Of course this all depends on Sage sending someone in a management position who can do more than give 30-45 minutes of apologies. Hard to say who will be in what position but Nancy Harris, Connie Certusi. Unfortunately most execs will be at the CEO circle so just a thought.

I feel like a complete jerk writing this, but I honestly believe anything more than a ""What is the current road map for Sage 100"" would be a complete waste of time. What we need to know is WHEN are any of these new features going to be deployed. For example, Multi-BIn. On the last Product Advisory Council call with Linda Cade, she claimed that Mulit-Bin is planned for release in Feb/Mar 2017 but they still have yet to make a formal agreement with the developer. So, unless they are buying something that already exists or connecting it with a cloud plug-in, there is no way this will be ready by that timeframe. Everything keeps changing, not just leadership. Work Order is now slated for October 2018 and MRP is now To Be Determined. Any guesses on what she tells us in the next call? As enjoyable as it was to watch Scott Munro apologize for everything Sage screwed up, nothing has changed. The ""we will fix it"" simply means ""we will leave Sage once we realize there is nothing we can do for the channel"". Hence, we're on our own. Choose wisely, my friends.

Guys, I've been saying since 2010, MAS90/Sage 100 is dead, they just haven't sent out the memo. It's nothing more than a treasury note to Sage that generates recurring income that will slowly shrink over time. There will be no meaningful investment other than insuring the product works with the latest OS and bolt on's that generate recurring cash for Sage.

Both excellent thoughts. I agree. I guess I'm not terribly excited to sit and politely watch Sage flip through 20+ PowerPoints and give another one Sage / no silos / we have to do better / speed of the customer / sell more subscription because it'll help keep our jobs, etc
