In case you missed this in the Sage BusinessWorks Channel News Supplement for November e-mailed on 11/5, BusinessWorks is now included in the Sage Investment Protection Program (SIPP). This allows these customers to trade up to Sage 100 ERP, Sage 300 ERP, and Sage ERP X3. (Note that Sage 500 ERP is not in this list, because it is also part of this program - hurry, less than 5 years left to trade up to X3.) Until September 30, 2013, Sage BusinessWorks customers can receive a trade-in credit for their licenses of up to $1,500 per user! Attached is the FAQ on the SIPP.

I think only one of our BW uses would experience a net benefit by migrating to Sage 100. As much as this pains me, QB would be a better alternative for most.

It would be in Sage's best interests to give BW clients a limited user copy of Peachtree to prevent them going to QB. They could also include a discount to upgrade to Sage 100 within a year. That's really not Sage's style though.

Limited? Make is a full version.

Sorry, I started thinking like a Sage VP. Of course it would be the same number of users as BW license.

I love that their FAQ doesn't include ""I like the product that I'm using - why am I suddenly receiving information about migrating to another Sage product? Is my product being eliminated?

Migrate to a more expensive product with un-needed features? Not likely.

But the concept sounds great in the conference room to the 4 executives whose primary job it is to shovel this type of BS.
