Importing new items CI_ITEM - Default Warehouse and Std Cost > Std Price If default warehouse code for new item is alpha, it will fail on import (error: default warehouse is non-numeric), but succeed on an import to update an existing item. Also, for new items, if the std. cost is greater than the price (yes, could happen if price is zero) it fails on new item add but works on import to update item. Sage v. 4.50, could be other versions too.

On 4.50.4 both scenarios above on import for new items is working for me (alpha whse code and std cost > price). Maybe earlier versions of 4.50 had this issue?? If there are mods, you could temporarily rename Links folder or just the CI_ItemCode_bus.pvc in there while importing to see if it makes a difference.

Must have been fixed by 4.50.4 - the version I found this on was 4.50.2. Just wanted to share a work around that I found.
