Importing a vendor file. International zip codes all fail and there are some wrong zip codes that fail. Do I have t add the international zip codes before I import or is will they work even if they're not in the zip code table? TIA

You will have to add them to the zip code table first.

If you are importing a zip code, then it has to be on file because it will try to validate it. You can leave the zip code blank. These are pretty much your 2 options...that i can think of

Thanks Madeline and Kenny. I was afraid of that. I've got some cleanup to do.

I recently had a couple engagements with many international addresses, most of which were inaccurate or formatted incorrectly. Ended up putting that info into address line 3, so customer can correct the zip code and create it concurrently. Most of these customers also have their own version of country codes, so that's about the only table I import into.

In my situation all of the international zip codes were from Canada and I was able to add them to the zip code table without any problem.

in 2015 the Canada Zip Codes are an option when you install Sage.

You can add perform logic to vi to create new zips. That might not help you now but for the future.

Interesting Kenny, I'm not familiar with the option to add Canada Zip codes when you install Sage. How do you do that? Also, thanks Jim, in this case there were only a few but I will keep that in mind for future imports.

In 2015 only, when installing the software and you get a list of all the modules, all the way at the bottom, after the demo companies, you can choose to install Canadian Zip Codes.
