    Important Payroll tip!!! 941 Printing incorrectly with incorrect amount with a ""fractions"" error. For those of you that have clients that print the 941 after installing the 2011 tax tables. Make sure you have them change the FICA employee rate to 6.2 (from 4.2) when running the 4th Quarter 941. The 941 uses the rates in the FED tax table to calculate the taxes. If you don't then you will end up with the difference in Fractions. (Don't forget to change it back to 4.2 when finished. #941 #fractions

There was a decent conversation on this at LinkedIn (the order in which to apply updates and whether there was any ill effet doing so prior to 12/31 because there was no change in $ limit) #blog

    BTW, Happened with 3 of our clients and confirmed with Sage.
