I'm working with Job Cost module, and the option for Post to G/L for WIP is currently turned off. There are jobs in progress at various stages of completion. Does anybody know if we turn on WIP posting what will happen to the open jobs when they are eventually compelted? Will COGS get hit only for the incremental WIP since turning on the option, or will the entire cost of the job (including the portion previously expensed) get posted? I can go through transactions to test, but figure I can save time if this wisdom is already in the community. TIA!

I think the WIP bases itself on the WIP dollars showing on the Job, and those dollars would only be incurred after you turn it on. Because you can bill a job multiple times and it will clear the WIP each time, so this would be similar.
