I'm trying to set up a UDF in SO invoice data entry - detail, not header - to flow it through to invoice history. I already set it up in SO entry and it works fine. When I try to add it to the invoice table, I don't see the SO detail table to pull from. I get the same results in Sage 2013 and Sage 2014 and on my system and theirs. What am I missing?

I think once you set it up with what appears, you can go into the edit mode and add the line so invoice. I know it is something weird and counter intuitive but it is doable.

Select 'Item Code' as the data table and see if the UDF shows in the Column dropdown (at the bottom)

Set it to manual instead of business object, then go to the data sources tab.

I believe you need to setup the uDF in the transaction psoting table first, and then to the SO_InvoiceDetail

Transaction posting table is the step between invoice entry and invoice history.

Just an FYI for anyone else - you only have to put HEADER UDFs in the Transaction Posting file. Details can go straight through. Because consistency is NOT our name.

Consistency?? What is that??? Do you mean the right hand knows what the left is doing??
