I'm simply trying to add a new module (barcode) on a clients existing 4.4 installation. this should be a simple thing right? I know it's not a supported version but I need to get this added before we upgrade them. When I run the installation of MAS90 and point it to the current installation I get "" you are attempting to install over a previous installation. You must install to a new location"". Is the installation folder goofed up? Do I really need to install to a new location and migrate just to add a module in version 4.4?

Are you installing from the same location as the original installation?

Is it asking you if you want to Add a Module? Is it possible the directory was moved to this server without having program files installed and now it thinks you're installing the full set of program files?

Sounds like the computer you are installing from is not the same one the original 4.4 installation. There is probably a shortcut for this but in the past I have: -Rename the existing MAS90 folder -Do an install using the current unlock codes to the same location as the previously renamed folder -Delete the newly installed MAS90 folder and rename the original back -Run the install again and it should ask if you want to install a new module

I did not do the original installation so apparently it has moved - I think I'll try what Bernie suggested. I think when I do that and when I copy the original back, I will need to leave the uninstall folders behind. then I need to start again and it should prompt me to add the new modules.

Well I guess I'll have to try all this later. The Client told me nobody would be in over the holidays and now someone jumped in between my first attempt and your responses. YAY!

Renaming the Uninstall Information fold in \MAS90 should allow you to install into the existing location.
