I'm new forgive me if this is the wrong group to post this question. What do you recommend for your Clients requesting ""self-service reporting analytics?"" I know, a loaded question.

I'd start with Sage Intelligence as they have a great forum and tons of YouTube videos.

I'm with Kathryn, absent more specifics set them loose on the free SI tool and let them have a field day. Questions to 800-854-3415.

BTW, once YOU touch any aspect of SI make sure it's for a fee with a defined scope or you may find yourself creating some free reports.

Let me clarify the client is not asking for anything free. In fact the 4 or 5 clients who have made such a request indicated they are willing to spend days / weeks 'learning'. In my experience it takes a rare client who is going to retain that learning progress on top of their day job (CFOs, Operations, and IT). Rather, they are looking for the ideal platform that they can have built out to an extent (i.e., data warehouse). Then turn over the analytical GUI (in whatever shape) to the department Managers or perhaps an in-house Business Systems Analyst. Over the years these requests have come from businesses in the $40+ million range (50+ employees). So, in one aspect it is self-service due to the nature of the ever-changing analytical needs, one off analysis or KPI's. In the past I've deployed some blend of DataSelf, KnowledgeSync, or a home-grown SQL/Access. Looking for something of that caliber..

Agree that SI is great tool and can provide an array of reports, pivot tables, self-service or generated and emailed on a schedule.
