I'm looking for a third party solution for field service and dispatch functions to interface with Sage 100. Any recommendations?

I believe AutomatedService is still a viable option as well.

Thanks Robert and Brett. I didn't realize Job Ops had a field service component. Interesting... Brett, I used AS with two clients years ago and thought the software horribly invasive. Maybe that's changed and I should give them another look. Anyone had any experience with MSI Data?

JobOps Field Service and Dispatch also includes an option called Technician Dashboard, which allows service ticket display on tablets (iPad and other similar devices) plus entry of materials, time and expenses from the field. The Field Service and Dispatch module has been around for several years, and is very competitive with other packages. You don't need to license full JobOps, if you get the bundle ""powered by JobOps"", which provides a lesser price for user licenses. We also have negotiated with Sage to provide their user pricing at a decreased price for these types of users. The bundle also includes the full JobOps base module, so you can use it for standard jobs.

We have 3 clients running Automated Service from Ascent. The dispatch and service tracking is efficient and works well. The maintenance billing has some challenges but works. The remote worker solution has been our biggest sticking point but many of those issues result from the client trying to fit an automated system into a paper driven process. Regarding inventiveness, I think that is a pretty good assessment. There are a lot of ""enhancements"" to the base system to a point where you are reliant on Ascent for support on base 100 functionality as it's hard to know where one system stops and the other picks up. They have been reasonable to work with but our business models have become closer to one another and that made things easier. They define the scope of their work tightly and then move you to a support contract. No contract, no support. As we have made the transition from hourly billing, it's easier to embrace. if you not ready for a new paradigm, you may want to shop elsewhere.

Service Pro (MSI Data) is making a hard run at the Sage base. I haven't had a chance to evaluate it. http://msidata.com/sage/field-service-management-webinar-knowledgesync

I was going to suggest both JO and Service Pro...just lost a JO FSD sale to Service Pro. As Jerry said, haven't seen the Service Pro product, but just got a call from them to evaluate.

Any idea on how Service Pro prices vs Jobops?

Of course, you should always look at JobOps first to support the talented, experienced JobOps consultants who are part of Oasis and 90 Minds.

Most of us are in the JobOps discussion group, but I'm not sure if everyone can access who those members are. @RobertWood can you provide this? OK, I'll start - Hutchinson and Bloodgood (John Hoyt) is a JobOps Solution Provider - concentrating in California and other Western states.

When you go into a group on the web, on the right you can see the full list of members of that particular group.

To clarify, you have to be a member of the group, but anyone should be able to join the Job Ops group.
