I'm having trouble with a MAS 200 customer who is

I'm having trouble with a MAS 200 customer who is trying to run remoteapp. Everytime they have more than one person log in, they receive the ""1 user license exceeded. No valid activation found."" I'm not sure if it's the way remoteapp was configured, but we have other clients that seem to be using it ok...any thoughts?

Did you copy the Activate.pvx to the home directory on the client? Do they have full permissions to the client folder on workstation?

Isn't this usually (though not always) a user rights issue to the \mas90\home\lib\keys folder. I think on Terminal Server the other cure is to copy activate.pvx from the network. http://infosource.sagesoftwareonline.com/sw_attach/kdb.asp?isresolutionconceptid=1737

Are they using remote desktop? if so copy the activate.pvx from the server to the MAS200 workstation installation folder on the Terminal server or Citrix server. (In the Home\Lib\Keys directory

Copy the activate.pvx from the server \home\lib\keys\ to the same directory in the workstation install on the machine where remoteapp is being run

What is ""remoteapp""? Do you mean Remote Desktop Connection? If so, it sounds like the activate.pvx needs to be copied from the server to the local workstation. There is KB article that details the exact steps. Sorry that I don't have a resolution ID for you.

I was going to chime in regarding the activate.pvx file but five others got in before me!

#RemoteApp is like #RemoteDesktopConnection, except that it only gives access to a single application, so it appears that you are running MAS on the local machine, even though it's running on the #TerminalServer.

Thanks for the feedback - my issue is that I'm not exactly sure where to copy the activate.pvx file. If they are using RemoteApp, should they still have MAS installed locally on their machine? If that was the case, then I could just paste the file there. However, the MAS icon that users are clicking on their desktop is using an rdp session to connect to the server. I don't think there is an actual session that I can get into to paste that file. I think the issue is that MAS is seeing the identical user each time somone runs the remoteapp icon from their local worksation.

Someone in IT must be able to access an actual desktop on the Citrix server and do the copy and paste.

Their IT person gave me the user's terminal server logins. I'm going to try copying the activate.pvx file in there and see if that makes a difference. It's not actually a citrix environment - they are using the server 2008 remote services.

I have only been able to test with a few users so far, but I think the issue was resolved much more simply than I was expecting. I logged into the server as a user and copy and pasted the activate.pvx file to the client folder. We haven't received the error yet this morning - so I guess this is good to know for future use of remoteapp
