I'm getting inquiries from IIG and xTuple about obtaining lists of members who were at MOTM. I know that they're looking to email our members with offers, etc. Given that these folks provided over $90,000 of sponsorship maybe we should re-think our (my) reluctance to provide email addresses in a spreadsheet. I know that TPAC not only provides it but they publish it on their web site. To ward off continuing emails from vendor members I'd like to email them all today with an attached attendance spreadsheet and thank you for attending. Are there any objections?

Didn't we export a spreadsheet into PDF that we were going to send them?

We did and my question is do we want to supply that in XLS format. They're probably re-keying it anyways.

I am ok with providing it in xls format. They can rekey most of the info anyway from our 90 Minds website.

FWIW, I belong to Vistage, a large international CEO group. They charge premium dollars to exhibit at their events but beyond the business cards you can get at the event, they won't supply you with the member information. Same with NAVUG/AXUG (the Dynamics NAV & Dynamix AX user group organizations) As a vendor, it makes it worth less to me. As a member, it means I won't be getting called 20x per day so its a hard decision. Maybe a fair compromise is a gentleman's promise (in the agreement) that says they can email or snail mail, but not directly run telemarketing campaigns. Also, we coiuld make their life a bit harder by not including any phone numbers.

One observation - about 80% of the vendors don't listen to anything. They run like robots from one marketing project to another. It's been incredibly frustrating to send them FAQ (which take time to create, proof, agree upon) then get answers that are contained in the FAQ. As an aside - I'm finding I have less time and appetite to have big Admin group debates. I need to make a decision and get these tasks done or I'm going to be sitting in my personal practice with no business because I'm wringing my hands all day on the minutiae of 90 Minds decisions.

This is run by volunteers. You can't expect us to be available 24/7 to help make these kinds of decisions. This one in particular seems to me to be one for Wayne and Peter to make. I am good with whatever you two decide.

I don't think it's a big deal to provide them with the list in whatever format you deem appropriate.

I don't really care what the format is. PDF, Excel, Access, Rich Text format, whatever. The discussion was to provide it. I agree with Therese, I don't need to be involved with this decision.
