I'm doing a 3.71 to 4.40 upgrade which includes a DSD enhancement (APMV - Master Vendor), and I'm having an A/P related issue. I suspect the issue is DSD-related so I have a call into Sedal, but was wondering if anyone else has come across this. I did follow the DSD upgrade instructions but the issue I have is that most menu items are missing in the A/P module - plus the Check Printing menu has extra items (ones that were present in a prior version). See attached. Only the Main and Check Printing menu's have items, however that Check Printing menu shouldn't even exist; it was replaced by Check Printing and Electronic Payment, which is present but has no menu items - nor do any of the other A/P menu's.

Does rebuilding the menus do anything: Rebuild MAS90 or MAS200 menus that disappear Sage MAS 90 or 200 Menus Disappear If you find that the Sage MAS 90 or 200 menus have suddenly disappeared: 1. First make sure someone did not drag the MAS 90 tasks off screen. Test this by selecting View Tasks from the MAS90 pull down menus. 2. If the menu disappeared as you were trying to add custom reports, take a look at where Sage MAS 90 or 200 is installed to. We have had instances where the MAS 90 drive letter was incorrectly mapped to a folder which was inside the MAS 90 folder. Correct MAS 90 drive mapping will allow you to SEE the \MAS90 folder when you view the drive letter MAS 90 is installed to. If you are mapped INSIDE the \MAS90 folder then this is your problem change the drive mapping so that you can see the \mas90 folder and re-run workstation setup. 3. For version 3.xx > rebuild the menus by selecting File Run ""SVMUPD"" (no quotes) and selecting ""ALL"". 4. For version 4.xx ->rebuild the menus by selecting File Run SYZCON At the command prompt, type: menus=new(""sy_menu_svc"",%sys_ss) ? menus'compilemenu() drop object menus bye You'll see either a 1 if the procedure succeeds or 0 if it fails

Couldn't recall if there was a Launcher/menu rebuild program so I added a test .rpt thru L/M Report Manager to get it to rebuild the menu's, but no help.

Version 4.20 and later: On the Sage MAS 90 or 200 File menu, click Run. To start the Menu Maintenance program, enter SY_MENU_UI Click OK. Click Accept. Note: In version 4.20, the progress bar does not open immediately after clicking Accept. Close the Menu Maintenance window. Exiting and restarting Sage MAS 90 or 200 may be required.

I think if you go into the above you can actually see some of the menu structure. I think I've used this when clients want to rename or move custom reports -- and it also shows standard menus.

Thanks @WayneSchulz. I was looking for that. Unfortunately it didn't resolve it.

I've used the following for cleaning up Custom Reports. The first couple steps may be applicable to you. Then maybe start at step 11 to recompile. How to remove reports from Custom Report that have been deleted through Report Manager Resolution ID: 438688 Entry Type: Informational Product: Sage MAS 90 ERP, Sage MAS 200 ERP Application: Library Master Version Reported: 4.0 Subject: How to remove reports from Custom Reports that have already been deleted through Report Manager. Possible Resolution: Delete the records from Data File Display and Maintenance, and recompile the menus. 1.Open Library Master / Utilities / Data File Display and Maintenance. 2.In the 'Filename' field, enter ""SY_MENU"" (without quotes). 3.Browse to the record that references the report that needs to be removed, and click the 'Delete' button. 4.In the 'Filename' field, enter ""SY_TASK"" (without quotes). 5.Browse to the record that references the report that needs to be removed, and click the 'Delete' button. 6.In the 'Filename' field, enter ""SY1RPM"" (without quotes). 7.Browse to the record that references the report that needs to be removed, and click the 'Delete' button. 8.SY1RPP ALSO 9.In the 'Filename' field, enter ""SY1FRM"" (without quotes). 10.Browse to the record that references the report that needs to be removed, and click the 'Delete' button. 11.Recompile the menus. a.From the Business Desktop, select File / Run. b.Type ""SYZCON"" (without quotes) and click 'OK'. c.At the --> prompt, enter the following and press ENTER after each line: menus=new(""sy_menu_svc"",%sys_ss) ? menus'compilemenu() drop object menus bye Note: The compile menu returns a 1 for success and a 0 for failure.

I know this isn't the answer but it's a pointer to the files that may be holding bad data. http://infosource.sagesoftwareonline.com/sw_attach/kdb.asp?isresolutionconceptid=402007 Menus are missing or blank in all modules except in Library Master after reinstalling Library Master for Sage MAS 90. Possible Resolutions: SY0MNU.SOA may be damaged. From the File menu, select Run, and enter SVMUPD Select All Modules, and click Proceed to update the GUI menus (SY1MNU) from the CUI menus (SY0MNU). Note: If SY1MNU.SOA is damaged, an error occurs during the update. Proceed to the next step. Rename ..\Mas90\Soa\SY1MNU.SOA, and reinstall Library Master. The file SY0CTL.SOA was renamed and Library Master was installed without the other modules. Reinstall all modules except Library Master. The MNUMOD.TXT in the ..\Mas90\Launcher directory file may be damaged. Rename ..\Mas90\Launcher\MNUMOD.TXT Create a new, empty MNUMOD.TXT Start Sage MAS 90/ On the File menu, click Run, and enter SVMUPD If the issue persists, rename the ..\Mas90\Launcher directory, and reinstall System Setup. ..\Mas90\Soa\SY1MNU.SOA may be damaged: Rename ..\Mas90\Soa\SY0MNU.SOA. Reinstall Library Master and all modules. Note: This is not likely on versions 3.30 and later because SY1MNU is usually the active file. However, if this occurs in version 4.20, rename ..\Mas_System\SY_Console and ...\Mas_System\SY_Workstation, and stop the PVXWIN32 process on the workstation.

Thanks, hadn't noticed. I used it about a month ago in v4.4 and it worked (or seemed to) then. What is the replacement?

**RESOLVED** (It does sound like DSD may need to tweak the APMV enhancement re: the menu's building aspect - at least that's what I gathered from speaking with Joe De Maria at DSD who was very helpful and nice to work with.) Before speaking with DSD, I did try reinstalling APMV, but no help. Ended up having to reinstall 4.40, PU4, hot fixes, and DSD APMV. However, after reinstalling 4.40, the A/P menu's were still messed up so I had to first rename some files (per Joe) and then reinstall everything. - renamed ap_installation.pvc to .bad (ap folder) - renamed mnumod.txt to .bad (launcher folder) - renamed sy_menu.m4t to .bad (mas_system folder) - rename sy_task.m4t to .bat (mas_system folder)
