I'm dealing with a payroll import that includes Job Cost. Labor is hitting the job but burden isn't being calculated. I'm guessing I need to modify the perform logic somehow but don't know for sure. Any ideas?

Mary Jo, I am about to help someone with this same issue next week. Once I figure out the issue I will post it. Let me know if you find out anything in the meantime

Will do. I sent it to Sage and Scott is supposed to be putting a rush on reviewing it. The other thing I should mention - it looks like WIP is off compared to GL since they ran 2 payroll imports as well. I confirmed all DTR are posted. I haven't figured that out yet either. I'm guessing (hoping) they're related but can't say for sure.

That's weird. I wouldn't think there was anything different in the actual Payroll data - just that you have the job and cost code in the line, and then the Job Cost programs will handle posting to job and Burden.

It looks like the import works when I add the job type to the VI job.

Jim - I'm not sure if you're dealing with WIP or not. I am and WIP being off is how they discovered the problem in the first place. The payroll person is new and is a button pusher so she didn't catch the fact that burden wasn't being calculated. It was strange - it did calculate burden on a few jobs - all with the job type 001. However it didn't calculate for ALL jobs with that job type. I wasn't able to figure out why it worked on the ones it did. Once I got the VI job working, I imported and processed the 2 payrolls. I compared the DTR from their payroll and mine to determine the required adjusting GL entry and compared the 2 JC Burden Allocation Registers to determine which ones needed to have burden entered in direct cost entry.
