    I'm currently moving a 5.30.1 Premium from one domain to another, and i keep getting a ""description: cannot open backup device 'C:\program files\microsoft sql server\MSSQL12.mssqlserver\mssql\data\mas_system.bak"" error does anyone know a way around this. in the new server the SQL Server and App server not the same.

    Are you logged in as user with rights in both domains? Is SQL running under an account with rights in both domains?

    I have rights on the destination domain, I've save credentials for the other (so no password prompts) that has credentials KB 61149 suggests that you can just copy the .bak to a location in mas90 however that seemed to not do anything

    oh SUCCESS attempt number 593 and 1.45hours waiting on Sage support. i copied the .bak to the \\SQLserver\c$\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL12.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\data Manually.

    Run SQL (the service) using a domain admin account on both machines and authenticate in the migration tool with the ""sa"" account.
