I'm curious to hear from the Minds: who are some of your favorite ISV's to work with, and why?

You mean other than Website? ;-) I have had good luck with SWK, who after a little bit of a rocky start became one of the few third party vendors I found that I didn't have to babysit for a referral fee. There's no way to kill a referral relationship faster than to make consultants call to check on commissions. SWK sent it before I knew to even call. Scanforce has been the same way. On the technical side, I didn't end up using them but quite a few years ago RedTail took a ton of time to visit a customer site once for EDI and they went above and beyond to make sure what they offered was a fit. What I liked here is that it felt like a consulting visit and not a sales pitch. Other than that I pretty much refer everyone who is in the group and have had good experiences.

Thanks, Wayne! We're always looking to improve, so I like to hear what other ISVs are doing right and what traits partners value in an ISV partner.

Generally speaking, I find it easier to use partners / ISVs that I see on a regular basis and like to hang out with. It may sound superficial but it's best to do business with people that you like rather than faceless strangers. I think that is one of the great things about 90 Minds and the get togethers (either at the official Meeting of the Minds or at Sage Summit).

I agree with @PeterWolf . If you know and get along well with certain ISVs, you also trust them and trust that they will deliver well for your customers. You also become accustomed to how their product works, so it is easier to support your customer.
