I'm chuckling at this mailing from ERPDEVELOPERS (it's the old Hightower owners) promising Zero Impact upgrades. What I think they're getting at is Custom Office + Scripting. And if I'm wrong then --- never mind. However at Meeting of the Minds Jon Reiter had a great session about enhancements and went over some of the myths of scripting v code changes. And one of the myths is that scripting means you don't have to worry about upgrading the scripting end of things during an upgrade. Granted - that might be true in some cases. But I don't think it's true in most complex cases. And frankly who does scripting or enhancements UNLESS they have a complex situation (Answer: Nobody ). Even simple stuff like Custom Office screen panel changes can be somewhat problematic depending upon the upgrade. I received it too, and suspect they're including some type of ""maintenance"" fee to edit the scripts for new releases.
