I'll float this one because I do not know whether there would be problems or not - but how about admitting ISM as a member? Angela is pretty focused on eBusiness They seem fairly active on similar types of activities Is this a conflict with anyone who is a material contributor to the group?

I'd be for it without a serious conflict. I like ISM. Did she reach out to us?

No I have spoken to these guys on tech stuff (never 90Minds) and they're always very open and sharing. I think we may have some conflicts in the region however if we can clear it with the senior folks - namely Jim Woodhead (who is probably the biggest out in that region) then seems like we may want to trial them.

They probably are our biggest competitor here in San Diego when the merged with Barsa. I don't have a problem with Angela but .... I would have some concerns about ISM as a whole.

A couple weeks back, I floated the name of Kathleen Matthews. She is active on LinkedIn, has been with MAS 90 for some time and seems to be vocal in her postings. No one voiced any reservations about approaching her. Then we started about membership changes to the group. Have we come to an agreement on bringing in new members?

What I strongly feel (as in I think this is a must) is that potential new members should come in for a trial period. Then if they stick around and are participating they can be nominated for a regular membership. What I think we need to do is: a. Create private groups in Socialcast = members only b. Create open groups in Socialcast = members + new potential members c. Stop posting anything that you would not share with the public into the HOME (Share something with my colleagues). I'm against bringing people directly into Socialcast as members because a high priority never become active yet we're exposing them to the benefit of our hard work since they are left to their own devices and can lurk and share outside the group with only a small risk of detection. In conclusion, reworks Socialcast by the end of this week with new groups. New members should come up through this admin area where we can discuss and add/not-add.
