If you have 2 Customizer mods to the same screen and you want to combine them - does importing them separately overwrite with the second one, or do they merge together?

Crap, finally had a chance to test, and it's true to its word - it overwrites. BUMMER. So how do those of you who do lots of mods deal with an end user who has one mod, then wants another?

I just adding to the existing one. One time the requested mods were so different I ended up using two logins for the same end user and they switched back and forth depending on which part of their job they were working on.

I import the wizard as a distinct user, combine them (two sessions sided by side) then delete the imported one. this is the way you have to do it for True Commerce installations. Which by the way, there is a recent TC thread on the subject with great insight by @AlnoorCassim

Yep. I'm with @JeffSchwenk That is how I handle it for clients.

Thanks for replies. I was curious in general, but also have a client adding DocLink and already have some extensive screen mods, so we won't be able to just import DocLink mods. DocLink appears to just be a VBS button, so adding it shouldn't be too bad - but if anyone knows otherwise, please warn me now!

Found out the hard way back in the day upgrading a client to v4.3. They had enhancements developed by SWK along with an extensive IM panel modification. I imported the SWK panels. Ouch. Never again. Another example of Sage throwing a promising v1.0 enhancement at the wall. it stuck but Sage's ADD attention span went onto the next great management idea....
