If you ever wanted to get all of Alan Weiss's know

If you ever wanted to get all of Alan Weiss's knowledge compacted into a book and audio recording, it's now available. This guy makes Verasage consulting rates look low, so this is a pretty good bargain if you are willing to invest time. Includes a large chapter on Value Pricing http://summitconsulting.com/store/AlanWeissOnConsulting.php

Did you buy this and review it?

I read about 20% of it while I was at my sister who's one of his disciples and who meets with him regularly. It's really made a difference in her consulting business. She's established herself as a true expert and no longer competes on price. http://www.matusonconsulting.com I read the value pricing section specifically as well as some others. It's a pretty long book so the options to get it on audio also is great as I spend a decent amount of time in the car and at the gym

What format is the e-Book? Is it a PDF? I'm in for one just curious

What I'm trying to figure out is if it's any different from the mass published stuff he has out.

He does has some great stuff. We subscribe to his weekly podcast. It's helpful. I suspect that if you go through his free stuff, and his ""Writing on the Wall"" series and then feel like you want more, the book would be good. It's probably a format and convenience thing more than anything. The trick is to figure out how to implement some of the concepts - The Vault is an easy concept but a devil to implement.

Isn't that the trick in everything?

Sounds like Alan is better at consulting than ecommerce. He just replied to my inquiry. Sounds like the orders come in manual and they process them next day.

He probably has to have his German Shepherd fetch the books from his Bentley.

Few things: 1) He knows consulting better than he knows ecommerce. Takes about a day after purchase to receive your links 2) It isn't fancy, basically links to various types of downloads including epubs etc. Based on my testing, I strongly recommend the PDF version if you go the ebook route 3) The Audio, is NOT a reading of the book. Its the raw conversations between the writers and Alan. Still very interesting but not a replacement for the book. It's not very clear on that fact when you buy it.

Just got mine today. For $59 I can almost guarantee there will be something that can be gained from the book/audio. I hope he makes a ton going direct on these vs through a publisher.
