If this off-topic story does not perfectly sum up the state of the VAR market - I don't know what does. Many of the VARS keep trying tactics that aren't working, haven't worked in a while and blame the economy, publisher, customer, prospect, etc. At some point you have to make a change if you find that what you're trying isn't working... http://newsfeed.time.com/2013/05/01/man-loses-life-savings-playing-carnival-game-wins-giant-banana/

Probably because he likes carnivals.... I would take my kids to the local carnival as an example why they were going to college. Now I am the only one in the family without an advanced degree....... Maybe I should take my own medicine????

Apparently I live a sheltered life here in Hollywood, because this is the first I've seen or heard of a rasta banana. :-)

There are many people in this world who don't make enough money to be able to save $2,600 much less more for whatever reason.

For whatever reason"" is sometimes spelled C-A-L-I-F-O-R-N-I-A. They never met a tax they didn't like. And then there are the fees, which are disguised taxes.

@JohnHoyt Guys like him probably pay little to no taxes at his income level so that your taxes can subsidize his $2,600 bananna

It's probably worse than that - you paid for that banana. Can someone that dumb have a job? I sense unemployment -> disability career path.

It looks like collegehumor.com may buy the banana for $2,600. Since it sounds like the got $600 back from the carnival according to one article I read, he might make money on the venture. http://feedly.com/k/ZrQgfx
