If I had a dime for ever type of email that I receive which is similar to this -- I'd be retired. Clearly someone is making full use of email broadcast with semi-personalization. And these programs even followup with the sad ""I just wanted to see if you received my email"".

I wish I had a dime for every piece of spam email that makes it past our spam filter!

Seems to be today's fad. Especially for lead-gen products/services. If that's the best they have to offer, pretty underwhelming way to ""break through the clutter.
