If anyone heard a sound just now, that was me screaming. Four years ago this client, over my strenuous objections, turned their 3 divisions into 3 companies. Now they want to merge them back together. The only good thing is...should end my year with a bang. *sigh*

I did that for a client this summer as part of an upgrade. Fortunately it was only one extra company. I can't remember how many VI jobs I had to create, but it was a bunch!

If you're regretting this you're not pricing it right....

I'm not regretting...Remember, we're one of the twisted bunch that thinks this stuff is fun..it was a challenge considering all the balances that had to match AR,AP,SP,PO,IM,GL etc. Open SO's Open PO's. History.

I've actually done it twice already - once on 3.71 and once on 4.30. But those were clients I liked. :-)

I had a (now former) customer, over my numerous objections, go out and buy SQL mirroring because their outsourced IT folks were going to write a whole financial reporting system (think debits/credits). Never ever got off the ground. Faster forward three CFO's and a few MBA overachievers and everyone's staring at Wayne wondering why on earth he ever recommended that solution.....
